Hi, I'm Harpreet!

 I'm a 35mm film photographer based in Northern California, but I work all up and down the West Coast. My portfolio includes major cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Vancouver B.C., and more. I've been shooting since late 2018, starting out on disposable cameras before realizing how much plastic I could save by shooting on SLRs instead. I was gifted a Canon AE-1 Program for my 17th birthday, and it's been with me ever since.

My family always knew me as the one who documented everything — I was tech-savvy from a young age and loved capturing both the big and small memories in my life. I was also the one always pulling out baby photos and VHS tapes, since I've always had a soft spot for nostalgia and a genuine appreciation for physical media.

I shoot on film rather than digital as my main medium because it feels more personal and nostalgic. There's a time and process behind shooting and developing these photos that has always fascinated me. Looking back at old baby photos, I realized how beautiful the warmth and grain of film is — carrying a sense of nostalgia and vintage character no matter how recent the picture. That's part of why I'd love to see more companies bring that same home-like feeling into their branding; I think nostalgia in mainstream media can evoke emotion and create a sense of connection between companies and their clients.

I'm well versed in travel and landscape photography, while continuing to grow my experience in editorial and portrait work. I love the earth, but I also love people — and I only shoot what I love. As of now, my work has been published through Cal State LA's student-run literary magazine, Statement Magazine — featured on their Instagram in 2025 and in their 2025 print issue, under the pseudonym "Feliz."
