FillNest — Private Form Autofill (“FillNest”) is a Chrome extension designed to help users fill repetitive web forms using reusable profiles stored locally in their browser.
This Privacy Policy explains what information FillNest handles, how that information is used, and how it is protected.
FillNest may handle information that users voluntarily enter into their saved profiles, including:
Name
Email address
Phone number
Address
Employment information
Education information
Website or LinkedIn profile links
Other custom form answers entered by the user
FillNest may also temporarily read form fields and related content on the webpage currently open in the active browser tab in order to identify matching fields and fill them when requested by the user.
Information entered into FillNest is used only to provide its core form-filling functionality.
FillNest uses saved profile information to:
Match saved information with relevant fields on a webpage
Preview possible field matches
Fill matching fields when the user explicitly requests it
Save reusable profiles and extension preferences
FillNest does not automatically submit forms on the user's behalf.
FillNest version 1.0 stores profile information using Chrome's local extension storage on the user's device.
FillNest does not operate a backend server for storing user profiles.
Saved profile information is not transmitted to the FillNest developer or to third-party servers.
Chrome local extension storage should not be treated as an encrypted password vault. Users should not save passwords, payment-card details, CVV/CVC codes, OTPs, banking PINs, or other authentication secrets in FillNest.
FillNest is designed to avoid filling obvious sensitive fields, including:
Passwords
One-time passwords or verification codes
Credit or debit card numbers
CVV/CVC codes
Banking PINs
Authentication credentials
Identity-number fields identified as sensitive
Users should always review a form before submitting it.
FillNest accesses the current webpage only after a user explicitly activates the extension.
This access is used to identify form fields, preview matching fields, and insert information from the user's selected profile.
FillNest does not continuously monitor browsing activity and does not maintain a browsing-history database.
FillNest does not:
Sell user data
Rent user data
Transfer user data to advertisers
Use user data for targeted advertising
Transfer saved profile information to third-party data brokers
Use user information for creditworthiness or lending decisions
User information is used only for FillNest's form-filling functionality.
FillNest version 1.0 does not include:
Advertising trackers
Third-party analytics
Behavioral tracking
Cross-site tracking
Telemetry that sends saved profile information to the developer
Saved profiles remain in Chrome's local extension storage until the user deletes them or removes the extension and associated browser data.
Users can delete saved FillNest profiles from the extension's settings page.
FillNest also provides local profile import and export functionality so users can manage their own backups.
FillNest uses limited Chrome permissions required for its functionality:
storage
Used to store reusable profiles and extension preferences locally.
activeTab
Used to access the current webpage after the user explicitly activates FillNest.
scripting
Used to run the form-matching and form-filling functionality on the active webpage following a user action.
FillNest does not request persistent access to all websites.
FillNest version 1.0 does not execute remotely hosted JavaScript, WebAssembly, or other remote executable code.
All executable extension code is included within the extension package submitted to the Chrome Web Store.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if FillNest's functionality or data practices change.
Any material changes will be reflected on this page together with an updated revision date.
