I am currently assistant professor of signal processing at the Department of Information and Communications Engineering, Aalto University, Finland. I received the M.Sc. in industrial engineering and management in 2015, and the Ph.D. in mathematical statistics in 2020, both from Lund University, Sweden. Before joining Aalto in 2022, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Stadius Center for Dynamical Systems, Signal Processing and Data Analytics, KU Leuven, between 2020 - 2022, with 2021 - 2022 having the status of postdoctoral research fellow affiliated with the Research Foundation - Flanders (FWO).
My research is in statistical signal processing, mainly focusing on different types of inverse problems. A particular research interest of mine is developing signal processing methods that utilize the concept of optimal transport. Applications include localization, spectral estimation, audio signal processing, and spectroscopy. I am the leader of the Structured and Stochastic Modeling Group (SSMG) at Aalto University.
