About me

Hi! My name is Filipa and I am a highly qualified Portuguese teacher who currently lives in Lisbon, Portugal. I provide professional private tutoring services and classes to children in grades 1 to 6 for all subjects, both online and in-person.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Elementary School Education and Teaching from University of Aveiro and I have been working in the educational field since 2013. I am also a qualified classroom teacher (luokanopettaja) in Finland, a country renowned for its educational success.

I have worked as a teacher in Portugal and Finland with bilingual/multilingual children and international families from all around the world, such as Finland, Sweden, Belgium, Poland, Russia, Brazil, Chile, Canada and South Africa.

Driven by the idea that each child is unique and learns differently, a personalized approach is always given. By focusing on their interests and strengths, students are guided on an individualized journey, making learning meaningful, enjoyable and the best possible learning experience. I offer a flexible learning environment, adapting my teaching style and methods according to the child’s personality and academic needs.
