The Easter Bunny tradition originated among German Lutherans.
In legend, the Easter Bunny carries colored eggs in it's Easter basket, candy, and sometimes also brings toys to the homes of children.
Many Christians of the Eastern Orthodox Church to this day typically dye their Easter eggs red, the color of blood, in recognition of the blood of the sacrificed Christ. It is also symbolic of the renewal of life in springtime.
Easter is usually associated with the Resurection of Jesus Christ on the cross.
