We collect information to provide a verified, gamified experience for the baseball community.
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
Account Details: Full name, username, email address, phone number, and date of birth.
Baseball Profile: School name, team name, graduation year, and your selected user role (e.g., Pitcher, Infielder, Outfielder, Catcher, Fan, or Coach/Umpire).
User Content: Field ratings, written reviews, comments, and optional profile pictures.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Precise Geolocation: We collect precise GPS data to verify your physical presence for Verified Reviews, to display nearby fields within a 15-mile radius, and to assign your designated Home Field.
Technical Data: Device identifiers, operating system information, IP address, and approximate location.
Activity Logs: XP activity, badge achievements, and gamification events.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Account Management: To create and manage your user profile and account.
Review System: To operate the field rating system, including role-based weighted scoring and GPS verification.
Gamification: To calculate XP, assign ranks (Rookie to Hall of Fame), and display state and national leaderboards.
Safety & Moderation: To enforce community standards through profanity filtering and anti-farming mechanics.
Notifications: To send alerts regarding Home Field updates or registration reminders for Guest Mode users.
The App requires access to your device's precise location to confirm physical presence at a field for GPS-Verified Reviews and to display nearby fields. You may deny location access through your device settings; however, doing so will disable Verified Review functionality and limit your XP-earning capability. Location data is not sold to third parties or used for advertising.
Field It is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If a parent or guardian believes their child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at infofieldit@gmail.com for prompt deletion.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Service Providers: We share data with trusted providers like Firebase for backend infrastructure and Apple Maps for field location display.
Public Information: Your username (not your real name), rank, reviews, and leaderboard position are visible to other users.
Legal Disclosures: We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Field It and its users.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. We implement industry-standard security measures, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and secure authentication protocols. While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Access & Correction: You can update your information at any time through your in-app profile settings.
Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and data by contacting infofieldit@gmail.com. Deletion will result in the permanent loss of all XP, badges, and review history.
Regional Rights: We comply with applicable laws including the CCPA (California) and GDPR (EU) regarding your rights to access, delete, and control your data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will provide prominent in-app notice or email notification. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
