FieldReportAI ("we", "our", or "us") operates the FieldReportAI mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
1. Information Collection and Use
We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.
* Local Data Storage: All inspection reports, customer details, photos, and signatures you capture within the app are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not host your operational inspection data on our own databases.
* Cloud Services (AI & Remote Config): To generate executive summaries and analyze inspection photos, the app sends the raw text data and photos to Google Gemini API (Google Cloud Services) in a secure manner. No data is stored permanently by Gemini API for training purposes. We also use Firebase Remote Config to manage API parameters securely.
* Analytics & Crash Reports: We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to monitor application performance, log errors, and improve user experience. This data is fully anonymized and does not contain personal information, photos, or signatures.
2. Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & User Consent
Our Service utilizes advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies to assist in report summary generation and image analysis. By using the AI-assisted features of this app, you consent to the processing of your inspection data by the following technologies:
* Google Gemini API (Cloud-based Multimodal AI): Used to visually analyze attached photos and generate text summaries. The data sent to Gemini API is processed transiently. According to Google's API terms, data sent via API endpoints is secure, is not retained permanently, and is NOT used to train Google's machine learning models.
* Apple Intelligence (On-Device & Private Cloud Compute): Used for secure local text summarization and semantic analysis. Processing takes place either entirely on-device or via Apple's secure Private Cloud Compute (PCC) nodes. We do not transmit or store this data, and it is governed entirely by Apple's strict system-level privacy protections.
* Apple Vision Framework (On-Device ML): Used locally on your device to pre-classify photos for on-device summaries. This processing requires no network transmission and happens entirely on your local hardware.
User Control and Opt-Out: The use of AI features in FieldReportAI is entirely voluntary. Users can complete and save inspections manually without generating AI summaries or using AI-assisted image suggestions. No data is transmitted to cloud AI providers unless the user actively triggers the "Generate Summary" or "Add Photo" actions.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose:
* Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics)
* Google Generative AI (Gemini API)
4. Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us. Remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms", "Terms of Use") carefully before using the FieldReportAI mobile application (the "Service") operated by FieldReportAI.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service & AI Features
FieldReportAI is a professional field inspection and reporting tool. It provides automated summaries and photo analysis using artificial intelligence (Google Gemini API & Apple Intelligence).
* Accuracy of AI Drafts: You acknowledge and agree that the summaries and visual observations generated by the AI features are automated drafts intended for advisory purposes only. The user (the inspector) retains 100% responsibility for checking, editing, and verifying the accuracy of the generated summaries and inspection items before signing or sending reports. We are not liable for any incorrect data generated by the AI features.
3. Subscription & Purchases
Some parts of the Service are billed on a subscription basis ("Subscription(s)") or offered as a one-time lifetime purchase. You will be billed in advance on a recurring and periodic basis depending on the subscription plan you select. All billing and purchases are securely processed and managed by Apple App Store (In-App Purchases).
4. Data and Signatures
Your generated inspection reports, captured photos, and signatures are stored locally on your device. You are solely responsible for securing and backing up your device data. We do not store, view, or retain copies of your signed documents or signatures on our servers.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of FieldReportAI and its licensors.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall FieldReportAI, nor its developers, partners, or agents, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction of the developer, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
8. Changes
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time.
