FIELD STUDY: Home Comfort, Temperature & Air Quality

Are you aged 65 or over?

Would you like to share your experience of staying comfortable at home in both warm and cold weather?

This research looks at everyday ways people manage comfort at home. It includes how windows, doors, blinds and curtains are used, how different areas of the home feel (for example, floors), whether there are drafts, and how these factors vary across weather conditions and affect indoor air quality.

☘️ Duration: 2 weeks

☘️ What’s involved: monitoring indoor temperature and air quality, completing simple forms, keeping a daily diary (optional), and a short interview.

☘️ Thank you vouchers: £20–£40 (depending on participation)

Taking part may help you better understand your home environment, including temperature and air quality. Your experience will also make an important contribution to improving living conditions for older people.
