Goal

The 10th PhD Student Seminar 2026 provides a platform for FIE-SCSE PhD students to meet together and discuss their research findings and the latest advancements in their own disciplines. The seminar seeks original, UNPUBLISHED research papers reporting the latest research of each PhD student. 

 FIE-SCSE policy for PhD students

• FIE-SCSE PhD course, DIIZ11 (LITERATURE SURVEY AND THESIS PLANNING), consists of FIE-SCSE PhD Student Seminar (20% of the total score) and FIE-SCSE PhD Proposal Defense (80% of the total score). Before applying for the PhD Proposal Defense, a PhD student MUST attend the PhD Student Seminar (each student is required to submit a paper and a PPT of the paper and conduct an oral presentation).

• English is the official language for the presentation. The PowerPoint file (slides) should also be submitted together with the paper before the formal oral presentation. More details on the scheduling of oral presentation will be announced later.

Submission

• Each paper should be written in English, whose length should not be less than 4 pages. It could be one of two types of papers: research paper and survey paper, and should follow IEEE format.

• Be sure to submit your paper file in PDF with a name: FamilyName-GivenName.pdf, e.g., Li-Dawen.pdf.

• Be sure to submit your slide file in pptx with a name: FamilyName-GivenName_ppt.pptx, e.g., Li-Dawen_ppt.pptx.
