Fides promotes ethical journalism via meetings that are recorded for broadcast and streaming.
These are briefings, not press conferences. Fides owns the publication rights of all photographs and recordings.
Each one-day meeting consists of 40-minute speeches, three in the morning and three in the afternoon.
Each speaker gives a point of view rather than a survey. Speeches are in English without projections or papers.
Speakers are interviewed in advance about their backgrounds, their experience and their interest in the subject of the upcoming presentation.
These segments are edited to make introductions that are sent to participants in advance. They are also incorporated into the video programme.
The audience makes an important contribution to the event and to the video programmes.
Participants agree to the recording of their responses, and to accept the director's instructions.
The dress code is smart casual. In any Q&A session, a questions must be brief, without grandstanding.
After the presentation, a select number of participants take part in a separate recorded discussion.
