Our mission at Poverty Flats Farm & Sanctuary is to provide a home for animals to grow, recover, and/or retire with comfort and kindness while educating our human visitors of all ages about the needs, history, and qualities of the various species and breeds we host. These interactions between animals and humans will serve beyond education and offer compassion, companionship, and comradery.
Fiberfest Eureka began in the early 1990s organized by Val Hogan and Dorothy Boysun, members of the former Montana Mohair Association. The vision began as a way to showcase quality Angora goats and other fiber-producing animals to Northwest Montana. Over time, the event evolved into a community event for fiber arts enthusiasts to come together and share their products and craft with all ages.
