Inspirational Klicks operates the FIBA Official Basketball Rules mobile application (the "Application"), including its Referee Assistant feature. This policy explains the information processed when you use the Application, why it is needed, the services that receive it, and your choices.
The Application offers free features supported by advertising and an optional Google Play premium subscription. You do not need to create a separate Application account, register an email address, or set a password to read the rules or subscribe. Google Play uses your Google account to complete purchases.
1. Reading and information stored on your device
The rulebook, reader preferences, bookmarks, highlights, notes, and ordinary rule searches are handled on your device. These reading features do not upload your notes, annotations, or search text to our backend.
When you use Referee Assistant, successful answers are automatically saved on your device in Annotations, together with the question, selected article, and saved date. This local archive is separate from the server processing described below. If you copy or share content using another app, that app handles the information you choose to provide under its own terms and privacy policy.
2. Information collected for online features
Advertising, device information, and performance
Free screens display banner and interstitial advertisements through Appodeal and its advertising partners. Depending on the enabled network, your privacy choices, and the permissions available on your device, these services collect or process:
Advertising identifiers, app or device identifiers, and provider-assigned user identifiers.
IP address, network and carrier information, and approximate location inferred from the network.
Device model, operating system, app version, language, and technical signals such as memory, storage, and performance information.
Ad impressions, clicks, and other interactions with advertisements, plus relevant session or usage information collected by enabled advertising services.
Advertising preferences, consent choices, and signals used to detect invalid traffic or fraud.
Some advertising partners also process purchase or conversion events for advertising measurement, as described in their policies. Our subscription purchase token is used for premium verification; the Application does not pass that token to Appodeal for advertising.
The Application does not request precise GPS location. Advertising services can still infer approximate location from an IP address. Diagnostic components may also process error or crash information where crash reporting is enabled.
Premium access removes in-app advertising. The subscription and AI processing described in this policy continues when those services are used.
Google Play purchases and premium access
To verify or restore premium access, the Application sends its Google Play purchase token to our backend. We process the subscription product and purchase status, expiry information, a subscription identifier, and usage information. Our backend stores an encrypted purchase token, a token hash, subscription status, and daily or billing-period usage records.
These identifiers are pseudonymous: they can link requests to the same subscription even though no separate Application account is created. Google handles checkout and payment information. Our subscription backend does not receive your payment-card details, Google password, or Google account email address for premium access.
Referee Assistant questions and answers
When you submit a question, the Application sends your question, selected article identifier, and a request identifier to our backend. The backend sends your question, relevant rule excerpts, and a hashed subscription identifier to the OpenAI API to generate an answer and support abuse prevention.
Our AI-request database records a hash of the question, request status, usage counts, and an encrypted copy of the answer for retry recovery. It does not store the original question in a plaintext question field. An answer may repeat information from the question, and the question is still transmitted and processed by the services needed to answer it.
OpenAI's published API policy states that API content is not used for model training by default, unless the API customer opts into data sharing. Its standard abuse-monitoring logs may include questions and answers and are normally retained for up to 30 days, subject to its stated exceptions and approved retention controls. See OpenAI API data controls.
Please avoid entering passwords, payment information, confidential records, or unnecessary personal information about yourself or other people. AI-generated answers may be inaccurate; check the applicable official rules and interpretations.
Notifications and technical service logs
Firebase Cloud Messaging processes an app installation identifier and messaging token to deliver notifications. You can manage notification permissions in your Android settings. Hosting and security services may also process IP addresses, request timestamps, and technical access or error logs to operate and protect the service.
Support and privacy requests
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use it to respond, investigate the issue, verify a request when necessary, and maintain an appropriate record of how the request was handled. Registration is not required to contact us.
3. Why information is used
We and the relevant service providers use the information described above to:
Deliver the Application's features, verify purchases, restore access, and generate AI answers.
Apply subscription usage limits, recover completed requests, and prevent duplicate usage charges.
Deliver and measure advertisements, understand advertising performance, and diagnose technical problems.
Protect the service against fraud, invalid traffic, misuse, and security incidents.
Deliver service notifications, respond to support or privacy requests, and meet applicable legal obligations.
The Application's advertising integration does not send the text of AI questions or saved annotations to advertising providers for ad targeting.
4. Service providers and other disclosures
Information sent to external services can include identifiers, transaction information, and AI content. The services involved include:
Google Play and Google Play services: purchases, subscription management, and platform services. Google Privacy Policy.
Google Firebase: installation identifiers and push-notification delivery. Firebase privacy information.
Hostinger: hosting our backend, its database, and related infrastructure. Hostinger Privacy Policy.
OpenAI: processing submitted questions and rule context to generate answers, and associated safety processing. OpenAI API data controls.
Appodeal and its mediation and advertising partners: ad delivery, measurement, diagnostics, and fraud prevention. The advertising integration uses Bidon mediation and includes BidMachine, AppLovin, and Unity Ads. Provider participation depends on the advertising configuration. See Appodeal Privacy Policy and its partner privacy directory, plus BidMachine, AppLovin, and Unity.
Diagnostic services: Appodeal's diagnostic integration includes Sentry where that reporting service is enabled. It processes diagnostic information to help investigate errors under the applicable provider arrangements.
Hosting and AI providers process information to deliver the requested services. Advertising providers may also process advertising information for their own disclosed purposes and may use their own partners. Their policies explain their practices and privacy controls.
We may disclose relevant information when required by law or a valid legal process, or where necessary and lawful to investigate fraud, protect users, secure the service, or defend legal rights. Providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence.
5. Subscriptions
Premium is offered through Google Play. The intended Philippine monthly price is ₱99; the price, currency, renewal terms, and any applicable offer displayed by Google Play at purchase are authoritative. Premium provides ad-free access and Referee Assistant access subject to the usage allowance shown in the Application.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play. Uninstalling the Application or requesting data deletion does not cancel a subscription. If you use or restore an active subscription after deletion, the records necessary to verify access and provide the service may be created again.
6. Retention
On-device content: reading preferences and annotations remain on your device until you remove them through the Application, clear its storage, or uninstall it. Deleting an AI annotation clears its question and answer from the active record; a minimal local request identifier may remain to prevent the same deleted answer from being restored by a retry.
Subscription and usage records: these remain on our backend to verify entitlement, enforce allowances, handle support or disputes, and protect the service. Cancellation does not automatically erase these records. Eligible records can be removed after a verified deletion request, subject to necessary legal or security retention.
AI retry answers and request records: these are retained for retry recovery, usage accounting, and service protection, and removed through server maintenance or a verified deletion request. They should not be treated as information that disappears immediately after an answer is generated.
Support messages: these are retained while needed to respond to the matter and maintain an appropriate record of the request, including any legal or security obligation.
Provider records and backups: Google, advertising providers, OpenAI, and hosting services apply their own relevant retention rules. Deleted information may remain in hosting backups until those backups expire or are replaced under the applicable backup settings. Contact us for information about retention relevant to your request.
This policy does not promise that uninstalling the Application immediately deletes information already held by us or by a service provider.
7. Your choices and deletion requests
You can use the rule-reading features without submitting questions to Referee Assistant. You can remove saved answers in Annotations, use the available controls to manage notes and bookmarks, or clear the Application's storage in Android settings to remove its local data. Clear-storage and uninstall actions remove local reading progress and annotations, so keep any information you want to retain before taking those actions.
You can manage advertising-identifier and notification settings through Android. Advertising providers also offer privacy controls through their policies and, where available, consent screens. Limiting personalized advertising does not necessarily stop all technical or advertising-measurement processing.
For access, correction, or deletion of information held by Inspirational Klicks, email rcsworkroom@gmail.com with the subject FIBA Rules — Privacy Request. Identify the Application and describe your request. For subscription-related requests, we may ask for the minimum information necessary to verify ownership, such as a Google Play order reference or a suitably redacted receipt. Do not send your password, full payment-card details, or purchase token.
After verifying the request, we will remove eligible server-side records and explain any information that must be retained for a legitimate legal or security reason. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Where another provider independently controls information, its own request process may also be necessary; the links above explain those options.
Depending on the law applicable to you, you may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, obtain a copy of your information, or complain to the relevant privacy regulator. Contact us to exercise or ask about those rights. Where consent is required, withdrawal applies to future processing and does not change processing already lawfully carried out.
8. Security
The Application's subscription and AI requests use HTTPS to communicate with our backend. The backend encrypts stored purchase tokens and cached AI answers. The OpenAI API key remains on our server.
We use safeguards appropriate to the information and service. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device protected and avoid sharing subscription credentials or unnecessary sensitive information.
9. Children
The Application is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Application, contact rcsworkroom@gmail.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deleting information where required. Additional age and parental-permission requirements may apply under local law and the relevant service's terms.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Application, its providers, or its data practices change. We will publish the revised policy with a new update date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before applying a material change. Publishing an updated policy does not replace any consent required by law.
