I'm Nathan, a.k.a Flint Hills Aviation. I love weather, aviation, traveling, and certain parts of history. I've been interested in aviation since 2019 when I flew up to Alaska to visit family. Since then, I've crossed the Atlantic Ocean six times, gone to eight countries (including Germany and France three times), and spotted seven B-2s.
I made my first YouTube channel in 2019. To say it was low quality is an understatement. I posted whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, for about two months. In October of 2019, I abandoned that channel, and went over to Facebook. Then, in 2023, I created the current channel, which was at that time known as Robloxianpilot. Robloxianpilot was my Roblox username and I figured it would work nicely for the channel, as I would be posting purely Roblox aviation content. That changed in 2024, when I posted my first IRL video of me plane spotting at KMCI. The final Roblox video I posted was in September of that year.
Eventually I got unhappy with the name (and Roblox), so I changed the name of the channel to Dynamo Aviation. I hated that name by the end of the month, so in September of 2025, I changed it to what it is now. I wanted the name to be a little formal, and I don't think this name is bad so far. By this time I had also acquired four cameras, those being a Minolta MNZ20 (scamera), Panasonic Lumix FH25, Akaso Brave 6 Plus, and a Kodak AZ421. At that point I was making the switch to solely plane spotting and trip reports, because I had lost interest in making edits or making model airport updates.
As of June 2026, I have no plans to stop posting, and I will probably never post anything video-game related again. As for the model airport, I may eventually start posting updates from it, however I need to rebuild the terminal which will take a good 20 hours, so I'm not sure when (and if) I'll post on it again.
I made this because I don't think my photos are Planespotters.net quality but I still want to share them.
