Fifth Grade Reading

Welcome to to the 2017-18 school year. I am excited to be teaching 5th grade English Language Arts this year. This website is where you will find important information about all of the wonderful things we are doing in 5th grade ELA at Forest Heights. Check here often to see what they are learning and what they are experiencing as we journey through 5th grade.

I have been teaching for 19 years, but this is my first year to teach 5th grade. I received my teaching certificate from Louisiana State University. I live in Baton Rouge with my husband, and our two children, Andrew and Mary. I spend much of my spare time watching my daughter play soccer. I also enjoy reading and spending time with friends and family.
