What exactly is Ski and Snowboard Club? We are a non competitive Winter Sport with the goal to improve our own abilities. We meet each Saturday starting Jan. 3 at FGHS and ride the bus up to Mt. Hood Meadows for 10 consecutive Saturdays. We are part of the Mt. Hood Meadows High School Program for discounted lessons and rental packages (CLICK HERE FOR PURCHASING YOUR LESSONS, RENTALS, LIFT TICKETS (www.skihood.com/store/1899380 ) as well as other perks for being in the club. Our club is about having fun in the snow, improving our skills, and getting to know other students with the same interests, building a buddy system on the mountain and enjoying the great outdoors.

Ski and Snowboard Gear
Students must own/rent ALL their own gear.
If you choose to participate in the Meadows Weekly program you can add Rentals as well when you purchase the program. NOTE: Rentals will be checked out to you for the 10 Saturdays and you will be taking the gear home each week on the bus.
Students can also rent their own gear at Next Adventure or EVO in downtown PDX. HOWEVER, they sell out of season rentals extremely fast. In fact, they may have already sold out. There is nothing wrong with Mt. Hood Meadows rental gear and they fix issues right away. That said, there is nothing like new gear and you can often walk in and find bargains. If you are new to the sport, don't over spend. ADVICE..... You can buy lessor quality boards, skis and poles but definitely invest in good boots. Comfortable well fitted boots are critical for long days on the slopes.
Helmets are REQUIRED to participate. If you forget it, you must RENT IT!
