Thursday 11th Poets Group
Our topic in March was TIME MACHINE. Some of us were well inspired, other found the topic difficult. Nearly everybody went back to the past. Jacqueline wrote about the charlatans who promise you to communicate with your beloved deceased persons. Joseph in one of his poems gets on a time machine and meets Shakespeare, Emily Dickenson, Richard Strauss and E. A. Poe. Georges in his poem BEWARE OF THE TIME MACHINE goes back to a first moment he met a beloved person. Sylvie M. found TIME TRAVEL by L. Warrier. Her Time Machine is "a portal to the past, footprints of yesteryears". Anne came with John Campbell's poem THE TIME MACHINE in which a person wishes to "travel back to the day I was born". Georgette in her poem The NIGHTMARE finds it already difficult to define the philosophical notion of time. Dietmar in his poems WHEELS says that time travellers cannot change the course of history.
The group recommends that you go on our AFGB website to find all their poems and if you are interested, join their monthly meeting.
