With a mini grant from The City of Pittsburgh and snacks donated by Walmart in Robinson, we were able to put this event on completely free to the community! The kids and adults alike enjoyed an afternoon of belting out their favorite tunes!

All proceeds raised will directly support our upcoming 2025 season, helping us continue to deliver impactful programs and initiatives for the community. Every contribution brings us one step closer to making next season our best yet!
Feeding the Village Volunteer Day

In partnership with Foxy Fran's Catering, we organized a heartfelt community outreach event on Pittsburgh's North Side, where we provided essential support to those in need. We distributed backpacks filled with school supplies, ensuring that students are equipped for success in the classroom. Additionally, we offered free, hot meals, lovingly prepared by Foxy Fran's, to anyone who needed a nourishing bite. The response was overwhelming, with over 150 people served, and the sense of connection and gratitude was truly inspiring. This initiative reflects our commitment to uplifting our community, one meal and one backpack at a time.
Frankie Beverly Tribute

We had the pleasure of hosting a special tribute to music legend Frankie Beverly at Young Brother's Bar, celebrating the timeless songs that have brought joy and unity to so many. Music has a unique power to bring communities together, and this event was a beautiful reminder of that shared connection.
As a highlight, we were thrilled to give away the very first ticket to our highly anticipated upcoming charity gala! It was more than just a night of music—it was a celebration of community, culture, and the spirit of giving back.

Each of the seven courses was exceptional, and we were proud to donate 20% of the proceeds to the Community Empowerment Collective.

We hosted an exciting free family karaoke night at BJ's Event Center, creating a fun-filled evening for families in our community. Thanks to the generous support from our friends at Walmart in Robinson and thoughtful contributions from community members, we were able to provide plenty of candy and snacks for everyone to enjoy.
The atmosphere was electric as kids took the stage to sing along to their favorite songs, dance with friends, and proudly show off their creative costumes. Laughter and music filled the room, and the smiles on their faces made the night truly special. Bringing this event to life was a joy for everyone involved, and seeing the children’s enthusiasm and confidence shine was a heartwarming reminder of the power of community spirit.

at Ida's Sandwich Shop

We had the privilege of hosting a vibrant coworking day at the locally loved Ida's Sandwich Shop, inviting the community to bring their laptops and work in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This event wasn't just about productivity—it was about building connections, fostering collaboration, and celebrating a treasured local business.
With a live DJ setting the vibe and Ida's serving up her renowned, mouthwatering sandwiches, the energy was incredible. Attendees enjoyed not only a change of scenery but also the chance to network, share ideas, and support this Black-owned, woman-owned gem in our community.
The day was filled with great food, lively conversations, and uplifting music, creating a sense of togetherness and mutual support. We were proud to spotlight Ida's Sandwich Shop, highlighting the importance of supporting small businesses that bring so much heart and soul to our neighborhoods.
