Foundations for Farming International Training Director
KWEKWE, ZIMBABWE
In June I was invited to conduct the Money Map game to a group of pastors who are going through a discipleship course in Kwekwe – Zimbabwe. Finance was part of their course, and I am so grateful to the leaders who saw fit to include the Money Map game to their program. The pastors were so thankful and learned a lot, many asked if this game can be introduced to their churches. In August, Pastor Moyo, who had participated in the June training, invited me to his church and introduced the teachings to his church. One of my highlights there were three generations learning together about financial stewardship. This was a great opportunity for the three generations to learn from one another.
MADAGASCAR
It was an honour to be part of the Foundations for Farming International and Crown team that traveled to Madagascar at the end of July into the beginning of August. It is so encouraging to see what the Lord in doing in Madagascar through PPC Madagascar. Walking in their demonstration garden for the second time this year was so fulfilling as we witness the progress they have made. The PPC team as always welcomes us with smiles and joy which is so contagious. As we reflect on the season, with all the challenges they have faced, we can only thank God for his faithfulness. This was also reflected in the rest of the trip as the conference was well attended with more than 400 people. We thank God for Haja and Prisca and the whole PPC Team.
ESWATINI
Straight from Madagascar we flew to Eswatini with Craig, Chuck, John, Johan and Freida. We met the Eswatini team and the possibility of starting a stewardship centre. So grateful for the Minister of Finance and the opportunity he has given Foundations for Farming to serve Eswatini. After long meetings and traveling to potential stewardship centre we are grateful that there are plans to travel back to Eswatini and put the peg in the ground and establish the first FFF Centre in Eswatini. The 20 people who were trained at Rehoboth in South Africa were so happy and they have already started implementing what they were taught. There is excitement amongst the 20 and those they have trained. One trainer has reached out to a group of women, and they have established a vegetable garden and he was excited to share his pictures with the team.
It is very humbling to see the vision Brian had over 40 years ago unfold. May God continue to raise faithful stewards who will transform the continent. The harvest is plenty, and we pray the Lord of the harvest to send faithful workers who will bring glory and honour to him.
