It explores some of the more urgent micro-economic problems such as monopoly power of big business and big unions, government regulations and consumer protection, the energy crisis, taxes and welfare.
I teach at community college because making a difference in students’ lives brings me joy. I can relate to the struggle students face, having faced similar issues as a foreign student myself. Thus, I understand the challenges students face when enrolled into a college with a diverse background. My goal is to help students overcome the challenges they face, and to provide the individual support necessary to succeed. I want to support students in developing critical thinking skills. Hence, helping them to become independent learners who discover cognitive strategies to get “unstuck” and find their way out of the achievement gap.
