Welcome to Your Holiday Apartment!
About Us
In 2015, we purchased this beautiful house in the heart of the charming spa town of Bad Windsheim. Since 2016, we have had the pleasure of welcoming guests from all walks of life and for many different reasons. Whether you are passing through, visiting for business, enjoying a holiday, or spending time with family and friends, our lovingly renovated historic house offers a comfortable place to stay for everyone. We have even welcomed a cat as a guest before!
Location and Surroundings
Thanks to the central location of the apartment, most restaurants, cafés, and ice cream parlors are within easy walking distance. A bakery and the local savings bank can be found just a few houses away. The train station and the Kurpark behind it are only 350 meters from the property. The nearest EDEKA supermarket is also located there. The Freilandmuseum can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes, and the Franconian Thermal Spa is only a few steps further. The Tourist Information Center is located directly on the market square, where you can obtain additional information about Bad Windsheim and the surrounding area. You can also find further information online at: https://www.bad-windsheim.de/
Important Information / House Rules
General information
The house offers a total of six holiday apartments. Apartments 1-3 are located on the first and second floors and are accessible only by stairs. Apartments 4-6 are situated on the ground floor and have a separate entrance.
All apartments are designed for self-catering. To help you start your day, we have already taken care of the first cup of coffee.
If you are missing anything in the apartment, need assistance, or if something becomes damaged during your stay, please contact the designated contact person immediately.
Please note that there is currently road construction taking place in front of the property. Kindly contact the designated contact person before your arrival for the latest information regarding any access restrictions.
Quiet hours in the surrounding public areas are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. If these quiet hours are not observed - for example, by the neighboring Graffiti Bistro - and the noise becomes unreasonable, please do not hesitate to contact the local police station.
Police Station Bad Windsheim: Phone: +49 (0)9841 66160
During our contact hours, we would also appreciate it if you could inform the designated contact person about the incident. This helps us in our ongoing efforts to make our guests' stay as pleasant as possible.
Registration form
Please complete the registration form in full upon arrival and leave both signed pages in the apartment.
If you are using the guest card, simply enter your name and the dates of your stay in the designated field.
Fees
The tourism tax of €2.90 per person, as well as the final cleaning fee, bed linen, towels, and any commission charged by a booking platform, are already included in the price. Therefore, there are no additional fees to worry about.
Check-in / Check-out
The keys to your apartment are located in a lockbox in front of the entrance. Please request the access code before your arrival. You may also return the key to the lockbox when you check out.
Check-in is available from 4:00 PM, and check-out is until 10:00 AM. As we offer a contactless check-in and check-out service, you can simply place the keys back into the lockbox upon departure. This also lets us know that the apartment is vacant and ready for cleaning.
If you would like to arrive earlier or depart later, please feel free to contact the designated contact person to inquire about availability.
Use of the Premises
The holiday apartments may only be used for private, tourism, and business accommodation purposes.
Any commercial activity, including the provision or arrangement of services for payment, is prohibited on the premises. This specifically includes prostitution and any other sexual services.
In the event of concrete evidence or reasonable suspicion of unlawful activities, we reserve the right to inform the relevant authorities and, where appropriate, file a police report.
Smoking
All apartments are strictly non-smoking. If you wish to smoke, please leave the building and use the ashtray provided at the main entrance.
We kindly ask for your cooperation, as smoke odors may affect future guests. Any additional cleaning costs or expenses incurred as a result of smoking inside the apartment may be charged to the guest responsible.
Number of guests
Only the number of guests specified in the booking confirmation may stay overnight in the apartment.
It is important that the ages of all children are stated correctly at the time of arrival.
If you would like the sofa bed to be prepared for your arrival, please let us know in advance.
House quiet hours
Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
Parties and any other events or gatherings are not permitted on the premises.
Pets
Pets are welcome free of charge. Please inform us in advance about the type and number of pets you will be bringing.
The guest is liable for any damage or excessive soiling caused by their pet to the apartment, its furnishings, or the surrounding property.
Electric Vehicles
The nearest charging station for electric cars is just a 4-minute walk away and is located at Klosterplatz 4.
Charging batteries for e-bikes and e-scooters inside the apartment is not permitted.
Heating
As the costs of electricity and heating continue to rise, we would like to avoid increasing the accommodation rates. Therefore, we kindly ask you to use energy responsibly during your stay.
Specific information regarding the heating system and its operation can be found in the information folder of your respective apartment.
Parking
Parking on public parking spaces is subject to a fee from Monday to Friday between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, and on Saturdays between 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM. Parking is free after 4:00 PM (or after 2:00 PM on Saturdays), as well as on Sundays and public holidays.
At the Altstadtparkplatz (P5), you can park free of charge for up to 2 hours using a parking disc. There are also designated areas where parking is free for up to 3 hours. Parking is completely free in Spitalwall and Metzgergasse.
Due to ongoing construction work, access to the Old Town Parking Lot (P5) is currently available via Metzgergasse and then Brenckgasse.
As the property does not have a courtyard, we have created a small bicycle storage area in the entrance hall. Since there is only enough space for two to three bicycles, please let us know in advance if you are traveling with bicycles. Alternatively, you are welcome to lock your bicycles at the bicycle rack located in front of the building.
Internet Access
The Wi-Fi login credentials can be found in the information folder of your respective apartment.
The downloading or distribution of illegal content, as well as copyrighted movies, music, software, or other data without proper authorization, is strictly prohibited when using our internet connection. Violations may result in civil and criminal prosecution. Each guest is solely responsible for their use of the internet connection.
The landlord accepts no liability for any damages incurred by the guest as a result of a third party using the login credentials or password, regardless of whether such use occurred intentionally or through the guest’s negligence.
Internet access is provided voluntarily and free of charge. The landlord does not guarantee its availability or uninterrupted operation.
Waste disposal
The general waste bin is located in the brown storage box in front of the main entrance to Apartments 1-3.
Paper and plastic recycling bins can be found in the room on the left-hand side of the entrance hall, just before the staircase. Please dispose of only clean paper and clean plastic packaging in these bins. You may also leave empty bottles in this room.
If you are staying in one of the ground-floor apartments and do not have access to the main building, you are welcome to leave your paper and plastic waste in your apartment or contact the designated contact person, who will collect it for you.
Contact
The contact person is generally available Monday through Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, except in exceptional cases.
