The Formal Epistemology Workshop 2027 will be hosted by the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Department of Philosophy, with generous support from the HKU Faculty of Arts, the HKU Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science, the HK AI&Humanity Lab (AIH), the HK Ethics Lab (HKEL), and the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC).
It will take place at the University of Hong Kong, 18–20 June 2027.

Submissions
We invite paper submissions in formal epistemology broadly construed, including but not limited to probability, decision and game theory, philosophy of science, logic, philosophy of language, social epistemology, as well as suitable papers that intersect with aligned scientific disciplines, such as computer science, psychology, economics, and statistics.
Paper submissions should be no longer than 6,000 words and should be accompanied by an abstract of maximum 200 words.
We welcome and strongly encourage submissions from members of underrepresented groups in philosophy, as well as early career researchers and students.
All submissions should be prepared for anonymous review.

If you would like to volunteer as a commentator or chair at the conference, please send us an email at hkfew2027@gmail.com. This includes those who submit a paper and would like to offer to be commentators or chairs, should their paper not be accepted.
Financial Support
Graduate students and others without institutional funding whose paper submissions are accepted will be able to request support for travel and accommodations.
