With a round up of events at this year's Wild Weekend in Mallorca we also took the opportunity of interviewing Babz Collins when we weren't sitting by the pool or listening to music. DJ, go-go dancer, promotor, designer, from putting on the Frat Shack, based in London, in the early 90s to opening legendary clubs such as The LuWow in Melbourne, Australia, Babz's story is inspirational. It's amazing who you bump into by the pool in Mallorca. We also interviewed Courtney Jaxon of Clean Girl & The Dirty Dishes, a band based in Eureka, CA. Courtney has her finger well and truly on the music pulse and is the vital life support for keeping her town on the musical map. Promotor, vintage fashion expert and guitarist, it was a joy to welcome her to the Fever pages.
It's no secret that at Fever Sanitorium we like film. So it was with great excitement that we spoke to Corinna Downing, owner of one of the best renowned independent cinemas in the UK. From her time working for BAFTA and BFI to accidentally owning a cinema, Corinna's journey is a fascinating one!

With the release of John Williams's latest film we here at Fever had the opportunity to catch up with him before he disappeared back into the editing room to fine tune The Beast of Riverside Hollow. Featuring a huge ensemble cast, John tells all about how he got started, what his influences are and the big stars who he's auditioned (actually, that last bit is off the record).

This is where it all began. A trip to New York, a message from Finland and a weekend of amazing music. Literally, being in the right place at the right time.
This issue features the first part of an interview with Susan Lewis, formerly of the Meteors, and the first interview she's done in....a very long time. Susan's band, The Children of the Ruff House, was the reason everyone headed out to New York for the weekend. Susan talks about her musical inspirations and the years before psychobilly. An excellent read for anyone who's interested in music scenes of the late 1970s.
