Future Engineers Unite is a nonprofit program for children ages 8-12 to explore their interests in S.T.E.M. as well as gain exposure to numerous fields of engineering and demonstrate their importance in society. The program was started in 2016 as a one-week program at a local library and has only grown since then. After only four years, we have reached over 200 children with 10 programs in four locations. We plan to continue spreading our initiative and love of learning about engineering with further expansion of our programs in the coming years. We thank you for your interest and support and hope to see you and your child at one of our programs in the near future!

It is the typical perception of young children that engineering is just "building stuff". In reality, engineering entails so much more, and our goal is to help fix this misconception. From the design process all the way to the testing process, and the numerous different fields that exist, there are endless possibilities for a future career in engineering. Our mission is to educate and inspire children, and to expose them to engineering through hands-on experiments and team-oriented projects. Engineering combines science and technology for the betterment of existing products or inventions of new ones. Machines are necessary in everyone's lives, no matter your occupation or lifestyle. That is why there are so many different fields of engineering!
Engineering combines science and technology for the betterment of existing products or inventions of new ones. Machines are necessary in everyone's lives, no matter your occupation or lifestyle. That is why there are so many different fields of engineering!
During a week in our summer program, we focus primarily on some general fields such as chemical, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering. These branch off and combine to form even more subsets: computer, environmental, and aerospace engineering, to name a few. Each day consists of an interactive lesson about an exciting field of engineering, followed by creative invention challenges and hands-on activities.
