Q: How much does it cost to attend Young Men's Camp?

A: The total cost for each young man attending camp is $230. Many wards help with this cost out of their ward budgets and ward fundraising efforts. Please contact a member of your ward's bishopric to find out the cost for each young man from your ward. They can discuss individual support for those that have financial hardships. We do not want any young men left out because of cost.

Q: What time do I need to be dropped off at Camp Chawanakee?

A: Arrive at Camp Chawanakee at 9:00am. Wards are responsible to arrange rides for boys attending.

Q: Can youth drive themselves to camp?

A: Due to liability concerns, ALL YOUTH (even those that are 18) must be driven to camp by a parent or church leader. Carpooling is advised, so long as all parties are agreeable.

Q: Can I bring a friend that is not a member of our church?

A: Yes! Non-members will still need to sign-up using the registration form and should be aware of the standards and expectations of Young Men's Camp. They should mark "Guest" and then have the option of having a friend that they will be assigned to a group with.

Q: What if I can't be there for the whole time at camp?

A: You will need to make arrangements with your parents and leaders to drop you off and pick you up at the necessary times.

Q: All Medical Questions

A: Please be sure to include any medical conditions or concerns in your registration form when signing up for camp. For any additional questions, contact a member of the Stake Young Men's Presidency.

Q: What can I not bring to camp?

A: Personal firearms (including Peace Officer weapons), ammunition, personal archery equipment, slingshots, wristrockets, fireworks, alcohol, illegal drugs (Marijuana is not allowed in any form in Scouting activities), drones, remote controlled vehicles, ATVs, golf carts, motorized dirt bikes, electric bikes or scooters, skateboards, personal watercraft of any type, and pets are prohibited, except for service animals for the sight-impaired with documentation.

Q: I'm a parent, can I visit Young Men's Camp to watch the activities?

A: Please speak with a member of your bishopric or a young men's advisor if you are interested in attending. There are campground and venue reservations that limit the total number of individuals that we have space for. In general, we are promoting unity amongst the youth and encouraging them to interact with one another. If there are special needs or considerations, parents may reach out to leaders or include notes in the registration form, otherwise, parents are encouraged to drop off and pick up only.
