TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR FERNELY TRAILER RENTALS LLC:

1. Rental Agreement & Authorization

• By taking possession of equipment from Fernley Trailer Rentals, the Renter agrees to all terms, conditions, and operational policies outlined in this agreement.

• Only authorized drivers listed on the signed agreement who hold a valid, unexpired driver’s license are permitted to operate the tow vehicle and trailer.

2. Payment, Deposits & Cancellation

• A valid major credit card in the primary renter’s name is required for all rentals and security deposit holds. Debit cards, prepaid cards, and cash are not accepted for security deposits.

• Security deposits are held at pickup and released upon the safe, timely return of the equipment in its original condition, minus any applicable fees.

• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time to avoid a cancellation fee.

3. Equipment Inspection & Tow Vehicle Requirements

• The tow vehicle must meet or exceed the required Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and towing capacity for the rented trailer and its intended load.

• Vehicles towing trailers equipped with electric brakes (or any unit with a GVWR over 1,500 lbs) must have an operational, fully wired in-cab electric trailer brake controller.

• The Renter is responsible for inspecting the trailer prior to departure. Any existing damage must be noted on the pre-rental inspection form.

4. Proper Use & Load Limits

• Equipment must be used strictly for its intended purpose and operated in accordance with all state and federal traffic laws.

• Renter shall not exceed the posted maximum payload or GVWR capacity of the trailer. Damage resulting from overloading or improperly secured cargo is the sole financial responsibility of the Renter.

• Transporting hazardous materials, illegal substances, or unauthorized passengers on or inside the trailer is strictly prohibited.

5. Insurance, Maintenance & Liability

• The Renter’s primary auto insurance must remain active throughout the rental period and extend liability coverage to the towed trailer.

• Renter assumes full financial responsibility for any physical damage, tire blowouts caused by road hazards or overloading, theft, vandalism, or total loss of the equipment during the rental period.

• Fernley Trailer Rentals is not liable for damage to the tow vehicle, personal property, or cargo transported within or on the trailer.

6. Returns, Fuel & Late Fees

• Equipment must be returned to the designated location on or before the agreed-upon date and time in a clean, undamaged condition.

• Late returns will incur additional hourly or daily rental charges. Equipment returned dirty or requiring specialized cleaning will be subject to a cleaning fee.
