I graduated from Espanola Valley High School in 1995 and went to Nelson University in Waxahachie, TX, where I earned my bachelors degree in education. I began my teaching career in 2001 in Desoto ISD and have since taught in Oak Cliff, Red Oak, and Midlothian (current). I was chosen as Red Oak Teacher of the Month in October 2014, Red Oak Teacher of the Year in 2015 and Midlothian Teacher of the Year in 2024. I was also recognized by the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics in 2015. I have taught all subjects in grade 4 and science in grade 5. My speciality, however, is technology applications, which I have been teaching for the past 7 years in grade 6.

For the past 7 years in Midlothian ISD, I have presented multiple times a year to our district staff on technology tools and concepts to help them integrate into the classroom and curriculum. My goal is to serve as an Information Technology Specialist where I believe my wide range of experience would be very beneficial.
