My research focuses on the foundations of human understanding, with an emphasis on the development of sociocognitive processes of decision-making. Three major questions drive my research program: 1) What is the nature of young children's responses to inequality? 2) What kind of affective information triggers agency attributions? and 3) Are early emerging helping expectations guided by group membership?
In this line of work, I examine the emergence of inequity aversion in order to better understand the nature of young children's responses to inequality.
In this line of work, I examine how adults use positive and negative information to make inferences about the social (or non-social) nature of partners in ambiguous exchanges.
In this line of work, I examine children's responses to altruistic helping actions as they relate to the group membership of agents involved.
