I was part of the teaching staff of the University of Santiago de Compostela, with 60 hours/year, from 2020 to 2023. For sentimental and intellectual reasons, I was glad to teach both at the Faculties of Mathematics and Biology. Each year I taught the following two courses:
Lecturer of STAT 325 (statistical inference), a junior course for students who major in Mathematics. You can check the course material for each year: 2020–2021, 2021–2022, 2022–2023.
Lecturer of BIOST 107 (biostatistics), a fresh(wo)man course for students who major in Biology. Past materials: 2020–2021, 2021–2022, 2022–2023.
The bottom part of this page used to contain a statement on how research and higher education are systematically mistreated by Spanish authorities, and about how the universities in our country are currently sustained by young(ish) and cheap workforce, who are accepting extremely poor conditions under the promise of future unreachable glory, out of love for science/knowledge and our country. I maintain this general statement, which unfortunately still holds, but I do not belong anymore to the especially mistreated category of Spanish predocs, to whom I encourage to never give up the fight for their rights.
