Online Tutoring and Feedback Opportunities for Individuals available from a professional math educator of 30 plus years! I am currently a retired math teacher. I spent 11 years at Morton East HS; 2 years at Batavia HS, 13 years at Romeoville HS; 1 year at St. Joseph HS; and 6 years at East Aurora High School. I am privately tutoring all levels of Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra, Precalculus, all levels of Integrated Math 1, 2, and 3 and prepare students for the Math sections of the ACT and SAT.

Previous in-person students prefer our convenient, in-depth, and successful remote and feedback opportunities for the following reasons:

Students can learn from the comfort of their own home. This is especially convenient when transportation and/or weather issues occur.
The individual sessions are divided into three focused time periods!

a. Check for knowledge - Students will work on tutor given problems to see how much they know from the teacher-guided lesson in the classroom (0 to 15 min).

b. Check for confidence - Students will work on tutor given problems to build confidence in their knowledge of the concept (0 to 15 min).

c. Check for success - Students will work on homework/tutor given problems and on their own to ensure success (remaining session time)!

Through the use of Zoom, I can share my work real-time with students just as if I were sitting next to them at a library without social distancing, mask/immunization requirements, and noise restrictions!
I also record sessions with audio and video using Screencastify! Students receive everything they would as if we met in-person!
Students/parents can schedule an online session without the worry of getting to the library.
A student to teacher ratio of 1 to 1 instead of the 25 or 30 students to 1 teacher ratio as it was during the pandemic!
I am a teacher first! When I receive students' work electronically ahead of time, I go to work planning what and how I will "teach" the concept(s). Our goal is to understand the material, not just complete a homework assignment!
A Google Folder is created for each student for sharing homework and session notes. I also share my own resources and other students' session notes that are taking the same course(s)!
Parents and students have access to a Scheduling App to schedule/reschedule/cancel sessions real- time.
All of my students are having great success during these one-to-one sessions! So much more can be shared giving us more time during the session for details and to go deeper into the instruction/learning process!
