Our core research focuses on air pollutants like microplastics and diesel exhaust particles (DEPs) in vertically transmitted neonatal allergic asthma immune responses. Additionally, we investigate the pharmacodynamics of antibiotic alternatives, such as bacteriophages and antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), against common foodborne pathogens. Using advanced in vitro and in vivo models (murine, Galleria mellonella), we aim to enhance food safety and combat AMR.
