This Privacy Policy explains how Feral Ape 2 ("The Game," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, processes, and protects information when you use the Game on the Meta Quest platform through the Meta Horizon Store.

By using Feral Ape 2, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Feral Ape 2 may process the following information when you use the Game:

Meta User ID

Feral Ape 2 uses the Meta/Oculus platform authentication services to obtain the information necessary to authenticate a player.

The Meta User ID is used to:

Authenticate the player with the Game.
Associate the player's Meta account with their PlayFab account.
Allow the Game to identify the player across game sessions.
Support multiplayer and account-related functionality.

The Meta User ID is not used by us for advertising or marketing purposes.

PlayFab Account Information

Feral Ape 2 uses PlayFab as part of its backend services.

When a player authenticates through the Meta platform, the Game uses that authentication information to connect the player to their PlayFab account.

PlayFab may store information associated with the player's game account, which may include:

PlayFab Player ID.
Game inventory and owned virtual items.
Virtual currency balances.
Player account data required for game functionality.
Game-related statistics or progression, where applicable.

This information is used to provide account, inventory, progression, multiplayer, and other Game functionality.

Multiplayer Networking Information

Feral Ape 2 uses Photon PUN 2 for multiplayer networking.

Information necessary for multiplayer functionality may be transmitted through Photon, including information such as player identifiers, network connection information, player positions, movements, and other game-state information required to synchronize players in multiplayer sessions.

Voice Chat

Feral Ape 2 uses Photon Voice 2 to provide real-time voice communication between players.

Voice communications are transmitted through Photon Voice 2 while voice chat is being used. We do not intentionally record or permanently store players' voice communications.

In-App Purchases

Feral Ape 2 offers in-app purchases through the Meta Quest platform.

Purchases are processed through Meta's platform. We do not collect or store payment card numbers, banking information, or other payment credentials.

The Game may receive purchase or entitlement information from the Meta platform, such as information indicating that a particular in-game product has been purchased or is available to the player.

This information may be used to:

Verify purchases.
Grant purchased virtual currency or content.
Maintain the player's in-game inventory.
Prevent unauthorized use of purchased content.

Purchase-related game data may also be associated with the player's PlayFab account so that purchased content can be delivered and maintained across game sessions.

2. How We Use Information

Information processed by Feral Ape 2 is used to operate and improve the Game and provide its features.

Authenticate players through Meta and PlayFab.
Create and maintain player game accounts.
Provide multiplayer functionality.
Connect players to multiplayer sessions.

PlayFab

Feral Ape 2 uses PlayFab for backend account and game services.

PlayFab may process information associated with player accounts, including PlayFab Player IDs, inventory, virtual currency, and other game-related information necessary to provide the Game.

Photon

Feral Ape 2 uses Photon PUN 2 for multiplayer networking and Photon Voice 2 for real-time voice communication.

Photon may process information necessary to provide these services, including information required to connect players and synchronize multiplayer gameplay.

We do not intentionally record or store player voice communications.

4. Data Sharing

We share or transmit information only when reasonably necessary to provide the Game and its features.

Information may be processed by:

Meta, for platform authentication, platform services, and in-app purchase processing.
PlayFab, for account authentication, player accounts, inventory, virtual currency, and backend game services.
Photon, for multiplayer networking and real-time voice communication.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

We do not share player information with advertisers for targeted advertising.

5. Data Storage and Security

Player account and game-related information may be stored by our third-party service providers, including PlayFab.

We take reasonable measures to protect information used by the Game. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

We do not intentionally collect or store sensitive information such as:

Payment card numbers.
Bank account information.
Social Security numbers.
Home addresses.
Government identification numbers.

Payment information for Meta Store purchases is handled by Meta rather than by Feral Ape 2.

6. Data Retention

We retain player information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Game's services, maintain player accounts and purchases, prevent abuse or fraud, comply with applicable requirements, and resolve disputes or support requests.

When information is no longer necessary for these purposes, it may be deleted or anonymized, subject to technical, legal, or service-provider requirements.

Players may request deletion of their personal information associated with Feral Ape 2.

Feral Ape 2 is available through the Meta Quest platform and may be subject to age-related restrictions and requirements established by Meta.

We do not intentionally request or collect sensitive personal information from children.
