• Responsibilities:
1) Kinematic analysis of strike-slip fault systems along the southeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau, GPlates-based plate reconstruction, and analysis of geophysical and geodetic datasets;
2) Geomorphic evolution of drainage systems and sedimentary basin genesis on the Shan Plateau, Indochina.
2022-2025: Identification and Hazard Zone Determination of Major Seismic Source Regions in the Xinjiang- Central Asia Intracontinental Subduction Zone. (National Key Research & Development Program of China)
• Responsibilities:
1) Field geological investigation and tectonic geomorphic mapping of surface rupture zones from the 1949 Kahit Mw 7.5 earthquake in Tajikistan;
2) Analysis of late Quaternary slip rates and paleoseismology of the Darvaz Fault in the Pamir region (including field surveys, geomorphic surface dating sample collection, mapping, and high-resolution remote sensing interpretation).
2022-2023: Deep Structure and Geomorphic Response of the Kuqa Thrust Belt, South Tianshan. (China Scholarship Council Grant)
• Responsibilities (Principal Investigator):
1) Seismic reflection data processing and structural interpretation/modeling of the Kuqa thrust belt; Structural modeling and fold modeling of active anticlines ;
2) Laboratory processing and target preparation of cosmogenic nuclide (¹⁰Be) samples, and data reduction; Morphometric analysis of fluvial networks, river longitudinal profiles, knickpoints, and river profile modeling
2019-2022: Formation mechanism and distribution prediction of large oil and gas fields in subsalt superdeep area of Tarim Basin. (National Key Research & Development Program of China)
• Responsibilities:
1) Seismic data processing and structural interpretation/modeling in key target zones; structural restoration of geological cross-sections and temporal analysis of major fault activity;
2) Deep structural interpretation and modeling beneath the evaporite layers in the Kuqa thrust belt.
