We aim to recruit one to two Ph.D. students specializing in multi-physics-based development of advanced manufacturing, design, and measurement processes every single year. Here are some potential research projects:
1) Multi-physics analysis of web wrinkling in roll-to-roll systems;
2) Image processing for 3D-printed composite concrete and components;
3) Nondestructive testing for large structure using computer vision;
4) Contact mechanics for web lamination;
5) Photoelastic for thin films testing;
6) Acoustic-based manufacturing;
7) Thermomechanics analysis for thermal-annealing-based processes.
We also welcome postdoctoral researchers and visiting scholars, as permitted by funding.
