This Feminist Think Space provides the opportunity, outside formal inter-governmental processes, for affirmation of and operationalizing the rights framing and values-based agenda underpinning our collective work on gender equality and women's empowerment. We will aim to share and strengthen cross-sectoral experiences and positive practices, and address and strategize remaining challenges.

We will think together, exchange ideas and determine concrete actions to strengthen delivery of existing international commitments to women so as to make global resilient and accelerated progress for women. These commitments include SDGs, CEDAW and other treaties.

The aims of the Stockholm Feminist Think Space are to:

  • Progress cross-sectoral cooperation to achieve accelerated and sustained progress on the delivery of commitments made to women
    • Canvas recommendations on best means for strengthening cross-sectoral debate and actions
  • Identify gains made at the Stockholm Gender Equality Forum, follow through, and further work that remains to be addressed
  • Recognize shared challenges, positive practices and results
  • Identify key stakeholders, gatekeepers and “influencers” for targeted interventions aiming at generating institutional change
