Dahlia was the first to discover Shamanism, in a past life long ago she met a very skilled Shaman whom taught her their ways, and helped Dahlia to forge a strong connection with the Spirit Realm. Dahlia has many spirit advisors whom she communicates with regularly. They give her tips and knowledge about the various locations and things she runs into along her travels. She occasionally runs into wayward spirits, trapped in the land of the living, and helps them along to the other side. Dahlia is very intuitive and sensitive to the other side, which is what makes her a good Shaman.

Along with Sage, Dahlia is also a nature worshipper, with immense respect for the natural world, giving thanks with her respectful treatment towards all flora and fauna. She very in tune with the natural world around her, and is quite intuitive about what different things might do for her or others when it comes to potential ingredients for magical uses that she comes across. She spends a great deal of time meditating with Sage in the heart of nature. She has many altars, some of which she shares with Sage, others that are more personal. Most of them live at her home in The Glade, but some of them she creates in secret locations in nature.

Dahlia is an passionate explorer, often she is not at her home base within Hanalei's Haven, The Glade. She is very adept with drawing and writing, creating reference materials as she travels, carrying them along with her until she returns home to her study, where she compiles them for safe keeping, often sharing her findings with Sage. She speaks with Anduin and other Felvargs to learn more about the plants she discovers, sometimes bringing samples home to study, or cuttings to plant in her garden. Her library of knowledge is diverse and ever growing as she continues to travel the world and gains more knowledge.

Dahlia and Sage both share a passion for cultivating mushrooms that they discover and bring back home for further study and add to their fungus cellar. Together, they have accumulated hundreds of specimens, they both spend a lot of time tending to them when they are at home. They use their collection not only to study, but also for potion making, healing remedies, and other things, as well as in cooking foods. Dahlia goes a step further, though, and likes to study the more poisonous specimens a bit more than Sage. She has been known to toy with them, creating various toxic potions that she only seems to collect, it is unclear whether or not she uses them, be it for good, or for more sinister purposes.

Dahlia also loves to learn and study alongside her soulmate, and one of their most favorite subjects is anything to do with magic, picking up scrolls, documents, books, talking to knowledgable Felvargs and other creatures, etc. to learn more in depth about these things. Their curiosity knows no bounds, which yields many writings that fill their library to the brim. They both enjoy creating different potions, salves, and other magical substances that they keep in their apothecary. Dahlia's interest in poisons doesn't stop at mushrooms, she also finds it intriguing to figure out different more sinister potions and the like, that create more sinister results, which she claims is only for research, and Sage believes her fully, but still worries for her safety. She is very interested in not being bested by another Felvarg, and wants to know a trick or attack before it gets her, or her loved ones. That is her reasoning behind her fascination for the more sinister sides of magic.
