Submissions Closed
Keep an eye out for ISSUE III opening dates!
At Fellowship of the Unmoored, we seek submissions exploring the parts of life where identity and self-perception blur.
We are particularly interested in works that engage with themes of:
Fragmented identity
Anxieties
Uncanny valley
Imposter syndrome
Self-doubt
Feeling lost
Out-of-body experiences
Solitude and Isolation
Disconnection from reality or self
We encourage submissions that question how we see the world and ourselves. Submissions can be bold, ambiguous, restrained, modest—anything that captures the essence of displacement within the self.
We Accept:
Poetry: Up to 5 poems
Fiction: Short stories (up to 7,000 words) or flash fiction (up to 2,000 words)
Creative Nonfiction: Essays (up to 3,000 words)
Essays: Research, criticism, literary reviews etc. (up to 3,000 words)
Drama: Excerpts, scenes, or monologues (up to 12 pages)
Visual Art: Any medium that engages with the theme. Please include a short description or narrative to accompany the piece(s) (up to 5)
Upload as a Word file please!
All submissions must be original work.
We welcome and encourage submissions from creators of all backgrounds and experiences.
