longing for a connection so deep i wonder if you made them just for me

i’m holding these hands together tighter so that you sense the severity

it’s getting lonely

i know you’re teaching me something

i’m always getting lessons

everywhere i turn it’s shared laughter and new adventures

groups of girls and i’m asking myself where they found each other

and if it’s a piece of heaven every time they reconnect

once a social butterfly somehow shoved into the cocoon
