of contrition
Innocence burned to honor
vulturous deceivers
The cavern in my chest
collapses
in on itself
burying
my heart in stones
When confession causes others pain
Who can I give my burdens to then?
What if there is no God to give this to?
Ellen McMahon is a part-time reluctant worker bee and full-time aspiring artist.
