Felipe is an economist specialized on the adoption of innovations. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin, investigating the adoption of innovations in urban areas to address social challenges (e.g., nature-based solutions). Before this position, he completed a PhD in Economics at University of Galway while also being a Walsh Scholar at Teagasc. His PhD focused on the adoption of innovations in rural areas to reduce the negative environmental impacts of agri-food businesses (e.g., grass-clover swards and multi-species swards). In his research, a wide range of methodologies is applied, including surveys, randomized economic experiments, interviews, focus group discussions, and panel data modelling.
