Your privacy comes first.
No account. No sign-in. Feeding America does not upload a personal profile from you as an app user. We use Google AdMob to show banner advertisements, which is the only third-party advertising service integrated into this app. Your name, email, phone, saved places, donation notes, and volunteer signups are stored locally on your device. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.
1. Our Commitment to Privacy
Feeding America is built to help you look up sample food banks, donation options, volunteer shifts, and articles. We designed this app so you can use Home, Find Food, Donate, Volunteer, Learn, Saved, and Profile without creating an online account, without signing in, and without sending your personal contact details to us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.
This is an independent demonstration app. It is not an official application of any food-assistance organization. Names, phone numbers, addresses, articles, and statistics in the app are sample content.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:
Card numbers, CVV codes, or bank details
Your home or mailing address
Your date of birth
Government identifiers (SSN, ID numbers, and similar)
Photos, contacts, or camera data
A password or online account
No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use Feeding America.
3. Information Stored On Your Device
To power the app, Feeding America stores the following locally on your device only:
Name, email, and phone number you enter in Personal Information
Saved food banks and saved articles
Donation notes and donation history created in the app
Volunteer signups you submit in the app
The city or ZIP label you choose
App settings such as theme, language, and notifications
This information is not uploaded to our servers and is not linked to an online identity. Details you enter are records you choose to keep on your device. Uninstalling Feeding America, or clearing its storage, removes them.
4. Find Food, Volunteer, and Offline Use
Core features — including Home, Find Food, food-bank details, Donate, Volunteer, Learn, Saved, and Profile — run on your device. An internet connection is used to load sample images and advertisements. Denying a network connection can hide images and ads. The rest of the sample listings that are already in the app can still be opened.
5. Donations
When you review a donation in Feeding America, the amount, fund, and note are stored locally so you can view them in Donation History. We do not receive a copy of a checkout, and the app never asks for a card number, CVV, or bank account. A donation record in this demo does not send money to a charity.
6. Advertising (Google AdMob)
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements inside Feeding America. AdMob is a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC, and it is the only third-party advertising service integrated into this app.
Types of ads shown:
Banner ads — displayed along the bottom of the main screens while you browse
To serve ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud, Google AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and process:
Your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID)
General device information (device model, OS version, language, screen size)
Coarse, non-precise location derived from your IP address
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, and views)
App activity related to ad delivery
This information is collected by Google and its partners, not directly by Feeding America. It is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and ad policies. You can control personalized advertising on your device at any time:
Android Settings → Privacy → Ads
From there you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads.

7. Cookies and Tracking
Feeding America itself does not use browser cookies. Google AdMob uses SDK-level identifiers and similar technologies for ad delivery, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention, as described above.
8. Network and Permissions
The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:
Internet access — required to load images and advertisements
Network state — required for reliable ad and image delivery
Advertising ID (Android 13+) — used by Google AdMob when ads are enabled
Coarse and fine location — requested only when you tap Use current location or the location row in Settings
Location is optional. If you deny it, search by city or ZIP code. The rest of Feeding America keeps working. Coordinates are used on this device to sort sample listings and are not uploaded.
We do not request access to contacts, photos, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, or biometrics.
9. Data Security
Because Feeding America does not collect an online account or upload your profile, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your saved items, donation notes, volunteer signups, and profile stay in local storage on this device. Android backup for this app is turned off.
10. Children's Privacy
Feeding America is a general demonstration and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Do not enter a child's name, email, or phone number in Personal Information. Google AdMob may serve non-personalized ads according to Google's policies.
11. Your Choices and Rights
Because Feeding America does not keep an online account, there is no personal account to delete on our side. You can edit your name, email, and phone in Personal Information. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling Feeding America or by clearing storage:
Settings → Apps → Feeding America → Storage → Clear storage
For ad-related choices:
Use Android Settings → Privacy → Ads to manage your advertising ID and personalization
Uninstalling the app removes locally stored data and stops in-app ad delivery
