4x 38-Caliber

The USS Des Moines, named for the WW2 Cruiser of the same name as well as the Capitol City of Iowa, was the first and so far only Des Moines-class Cruiser built for the Federation Navy, and was assigned as the leader of Lake Carriage Force Alfa, also containing USS Burke Park, Roman, and Circles.
Based off of the Des Moines-class cruiser of the US Navy, the Des Moines is the first vessel since the USS New Archton (BB-02) to be an all-gunnery vessel. It's bridge is the same design as the Prairie-class, and it has three tri-mounted 8-inch gun turrets, two fore and one aft, as well as 2 ventral 5 inch (38-caliber) dual-mounted turrets. In addition, there is a single radio antenna and a slanted smokestack mounted in tandem behind the bridge and superstructure assembly.
