Type: Heavy Destroyer
Service: UFP
Succeeded By: Ohio-class
Builders: Gateway Co.
Flights:
Flight I
Flight II
Flight IIA
Built for the United Federation to replace the aging Spirit MK-1 class Destroyers, the Spirit MK-2's are the newest plane design out of Gateway Co.
As the Federation and the First Order conflict began, the Federation realized that their Destroyers were very old, and needed to be replaced. However, Gateway Co. proposed the idea of using the Lexington-class and merging them with the Spirit-class' folds. The Spirit MK-2 was born.
The building of the Spirit MK-2 includes the same basic folds as the original, but with some minor changes. For one, the design is noticeably more sleek and streamlined than the previous, and the tail section is somewhat more angled.
The Flight One Destroyers where all named after great rivers and creeks in the Federation.
USS Koshkonong Creek
USS St. Croix River
USS Yahara River
The Flight Ones are all in a single Task Force, B-15, also known as the "River Force One." However, this is not exactly an accurate name, as there are more planes of the class that are named after rivers, such as the USS Menominee River.
The Flight II/Flight IIA consist of only two craft (one each), the USS Prairie View Middle School and the USS Menominee River.
The Flight III consists of States, Provinces, English Counties, and Cities.
The Replacement for the Spirits is the Ohio-class and Tennessee-class.
