The Tennessee-class Attack Destroyers are a class of Federation Destroyers designed for the sole purpose of attacking any sort of enemy aircraft. Despite this, they are somewhat multi-role, and are similar to the Ohio-class in design and in function.
After the 20 Ohios were completed, Gateway Co. was contracted for the next 15 destroyers, of a new class, named after US States. The first ship was named the USS Tennessee.
Once it was announced that president George Bush, Sr., had passed away, the Federation Secretary of Defense, John B.G., along with President Lapord, had NCC-1411, the ex-Louisiana, to the USS George H. W. Bush.
After Jacob Monday's rebellion destroyed the unarmed merchant schooner Mexico Star, the USS George H.W. Bush, along with the USS Tennessee, and multiple ships of the Despa Airfleet, attacked the forces of Jacob Monday. In the battle, USS Tennessee acted as the command ship of the President, while the Bush was the first to fire.
The Bush began taking heavy damage, and was boarded by Jacob's forces. Soon after, the remains of the Ship were discovered, destroyed by the terrorists.
