First Flag
Seen by most as a symbol of peace and hope, and saluted by more people than all of the other Sun Prairie Nations Combined, the Flag of the United Federation of Paper Planes is the official State Banner of the United Federation. Designed primarily by John B.G., with help from Liam St. John, Luke Gainey, and Adrian Schlafer, the Banner is used more frequently than any other banner in Sun Prairie other than the Flag of the United States.
The Flag of the United Federation has it's routes in the Old Federation, based at Eastside Elementary School. The Flag of the United Federation (original) was heavily based on the flag of the United Federation of Planets, including planetary objects and a Spiral galaxy, in addition to three stars. The official description given by the Federation Government is as follows:
The Flag of the Old Federation was a white banner of 11 : 8.5, defaced by a central blue-green ring, containing the words, "United Federation of Paper Planes," and at the bottom," John, Adrian,Ryan, Founders 2016."
The only two Old Federation flags ever made are both on display at the Museum of Federation History, located on the active military base Joint Base Founders United.
When Liam St. John and John B.G. came together to found the New Federation of Paper Planes at PMMS, a new flag was created for the nation. It was described on the website as: A white banner with a black ring filled with a yellow circle, with the emblem of the Alliance in blue and the Delta of the Starfleet in black, layered in that order from back.
While the flag incorporated many elements from the flag of the Alliance against Liam, and added a new delta logo, but noticeably did not contain the logo of General Flyers, Liam's plane company. This was due in part to the logo being complicated, and also because many thought that the Alliance had been the real precursor to the Federation, and that when Liam had joined the Federation, he had really just joined a re-named Alliance.
But after about a week and a half of the flag, it began to draw criticism from newer members. When confronted about the Design, Liam expressed that he was actually quite fine with the flag, and thought that the design was a cool one.
