In mathematics, as in other scientific disciplines, the laboratory experience is a fundamental element, understood both as a physical space and as a moment in which the student is active. They formulate their hypotheses, check their consequences, design and experiment, discuss and argue their choices, learn to collect data, negotiate, and construct meanings. The student draws temporary conclusions and opens up new possibilities in the construction of personal and collective knowledge.
