Program Highlights

HVAC program gave a lesson to Tech Tykes on Air Flow. The children learned how air moves through vents and enjoyed using noodles and flying paper to learn about air flow.

Students in the PM Welding session worked on a community project to repair Sicilian pizza bins for George’s Pizzeria. The students love working on live projects!

HOSA held the 3rd Blood Drive of the year this month and it was a tremendous success. There were 66 registered donors (students and staff from CIT) with a total of 61 good units of blood donated.

CAD/Engineering are working on a project for Plainfield Elementary School. Students are developing letters and geometry for a proposed sign at the school.

The Welding Technology program will then convert the geometry to code for the Plasma Arc Cutting Machine to cut the letter out for the sign.

Automotive Technology received their new tire machines purchased from the competitive equipment grant!!! They are excited to start using them.

We hope to have more equipment purchased in the Spring pending the PDE Supplemental Grant that was submitted this month to include a 3D Printer for CAD/ Engineering, a laser machine for CAD/Engineering and a CNC Turning Center for Machine Tool Technology.
