Commercial hens are deemed unviable at 72 weeks old as the % of egg production drops slightly.
This is the time that the hens would go to slaughter to make food such as baby food, cheap pies or dog food.
We give the farmer another option.
We clear the barns of hens, with the help of other like minded people
They are rounded up and crated out of harms way
We find suitable homes for these lovely ladies so they can live out their days in a happy retirement home.
Many will go on to lay for years to come and bring lots of companionship and happiness to their new owners
