Following our inaugural walk on October 25th at the University of North Florida’s Nature Trails, Feathered Friends will host guided birding walks every three weeks from November 8th through January 31st. Each walk will take place on Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 11:30 AM, offering participants the chance to experience the awakening sublime of these natural areas and the chorus of Jacksonville’s birds as the day begins.
While binoculars will be provided, we encourage participants to come prepared with water, closed-toed shoes, and weather-appropriate attire to ensure comfort on the trail. Transportation should be arranged independently. Whether you are new to birding or a seasoned observer, these walks are designed to inspire community, curiosity, and a love for the natural beauty of Northeast Florida.

November 8th: Spanish Pond Trailhead: Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve
November 29th: Branan Field Wildlife and Environmental Area
December 20th: Big Talbot Island State Park - Boneyard Beach
January 10th: Huguenot Memorial Park ($5 fee required)
January 31st: Julington-Durbin Creek Preserve
