Biography
Poongjin Cho received the B.Sc. degrees in industrial and management engineering and mathematics from POSTECH in 2013 and the Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering from Seoul National University in 2019. From 2019 to 2022, he was a data scientist with FnGuide and an assistant professor of industrial engineering with Hanyang University. In 2023, he joined the department of AI software at Gachon University, where he is currently an assistant professor running the Financial Data Science Laboratory. His research interests include pattern recognition, time-series analysis, econophysics, operations research, and the applications of these areas in crisis management, risk assessment, fraud detection, AI trading, demand forecasting, trend prediction, FinTech, and other topics related to data-driven analytics.
