These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FDown mobile application ("FDown", "the app", "we", "us"). FDown is a Facebook video downloader for Android published under the application ID vn.fdown.video.downloader.fsaver.
By downloading, installing, or using FDown, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use FDown. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.
2. THE SERVICE
FDown lets you paste a Facebook video link and download the available versions of that video to your device. To provide this, the app sends the link you paste to our backend service at fdown.vn, which analyzes it and returns download options. FDown does NOT require you to create an account, log in, or provide your Facebook credentials.
We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time without notice. We do not guarantee that the app will be available without interruption or that every video link will be downloadable.
3. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree to use FDown only for lawful purposes and only to download content that you have the right to save. You must NOT:
- Download or distribute content you do not own or have permission to use.
- Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person or entity.
- Use the app to violate Facebook's or Meta's terms of service or any applicable law.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, hack, overload, or disrupt the app or our backend service.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app or the service without our written permission.
You are solely responsible for the content you download and for how you use it. Downloading content you do not have permission to use may violate the rights of content owners, Facebook's terms, or applicable law.
4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Videos and other content you download belong to their respective owners. FDown does not claim any ownership over that content and does not host, store, or keep copies of it on our servers. The FDown app, its name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
5. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PURCHASES
FDown offers optional Premium upgrades (subscriptions and a lifetime purchase) that remove ads, unlock higher quality (Full HD and 4K), and allow unlimited downloads.
- All purchases are processed by Google Play. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play > Subscriptions.
- Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- The lifetime upgrade is a one-time purchase tied to your Google Play account.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play according to its policies. We do not process payments or refunds directly.
To verify a purchase and unlock Premium, FDown sends the Google Play purchase token and product ID to our backend at fdown.vn. We do not receive or store your credit card number or full payment details.
6. FREE VERSION, LIMITS, AND ADS
The free version of FDown is supported by advertising (Google AdMob) and may apply usage limits, such as a daily download quota and restricted video quality. We may change these limits and the ad experience at any time. Purchasing Premium removes ads and lifts these limits. Advertising and data practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
FDown relies on third-party services, including Google Play Billing, Google AdMob, Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config), and our backend service at fdown.vn. Your use of these services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
FDown is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that any specific video will be downloadable.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FDown and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or content, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.
10. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FDown and its owners from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights, including any claim related to content you download or distribute.
11. TERMINATION
You may stop using FDown at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to the app or the backend service at any time if you violate these Terms or misuse the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will continue to apply.
12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when we post the updated version and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
13. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the app publisher is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
